Who We Are
American Locator & Recovery Corporation is an international fugitive recovery and investigative services firm with 25 years of experience. We provide intelligence-led investigation and lawful recovery support to surety companies and bail agencies. Our work begins where a file stalls: a defendant has failed to appear, the forfeiture clock is running, and the agency needs someone who can locate, verify, and coordinate a lawful resolution without creating new exposure.
That work is not confined to a single state, or a single country. We operate in all 50 states and conduct fugitive investigations and coordinate recovery internationally — wherever a file leads — supported by a vetted network of licensed investigators and professional partners.
We are not a lead service and we are not a collections operation. Every assignment is taken under verified authority, worked against a documented plan, and closed with a reporting package the agency can put in front of a court, a surety, or an underwriter.
How We Operate
Recovery work carries real legal and reputational risk for the agency that authorizes it. Our operating model is designed to keep that risk contained.
Our Network
We are not limited to the agents on our own payroll. Across the country we work with independent contractors — licensed recovery agents and investigators who operate in their own jurisdictions and know the ground there better than any visiting team could.
That structure is what makes nationwide coverage real rather than aspirational. When a subject surfaces three states away, we do not lose days sending people across the country; we activate someone who is already local, already licensed there, and already familiar with how that county handles a recovery.
Contractors work under our coordination and to our documentation standard. The client deals with us, receives one reporting package, and holds one point of accountability — regardless of how many people touched the file.
Who We Work With
We have worked with surety companies, licensed bail agencies, and general agents — particularly those facing complex, cross-border files. We do not accept assignments from private parties, and we do not take work that would require acting outside the authority granted by a bond.
